The Robertson family bought Ascension Climbing on March 1, 2010 from Nicole Colvin, the owner of Reality Climbing. Nicole was ready to move on to another challenge and we were ready to take on a new challenge. Mark and Melissa manage and encourage the climbers who come into the gym. Their children Grace, Caleb and Zeke help coach teams, teach climbing lessons, belay for climbers, set routes, etc…  

Grace has been the coach for the climbing team at Georgia Southern University for the last two years. She is now a certified wilderness EMT and will be leading our outdoor climbing adventures. Caleb is an avid and knowledgeable climber. He has been climbing for five years, both indoor and outdoor. Zeke is just getting into the sport and is a great encouragement to young climbers as he belays them and he does a great job teaching belay classes to anyone 14 and older.

Our goal is to make this a place for the family. People of all ages can climb and boulder together. Parents can bring the kids and either watch them climb or watch the game on the big screen TV or work on the computer using our wifi. We also want to serve the community and we welcome youth groups, scouts and team building groups.

We have 16 ropes available to scale each incredible wall. Our routes range from beginner level to the challenging expert level. We also have great bouldering areas: a 14 foot high bouldering cave as well as an 8 foot high bouldering cave.
